Dear Friends, Previously I have written about how to protect and un-protect a Sheet in a Workbook. In this article, I am going to cover all about protecting and unprotecting a workbook. This is going to be a short and simple article, yet informative and useful for your day to day VBA programming. How to unprotect a Word Document if lost encrypted password. To protect our Word document from accessing by other people unauthorized, we set an encryption password on it. But, if you forgot or lost the Word document protection password, how to open it without damage?
Long story short - we let go of a coworker this week and she basically caused chaos at our office. She deleted majority of our backup Excel files and then set password protection on the rest - Excel spreadsheets, and then set a VBA password protection on the code.
We're bleeding here, and I'm not sure what I can do at this point. I've tried some methods but none seem to be working or unlocking this damn file. While we are currently pursuing legal action, it will take weeks to resolve, and we need these files ASAP.

Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: sorry, it's an Excel 2013 .xslm file
